Seignosse guide

Famous for its fantasic surf spots Le Penon, Les Bourdaines and Les Estagnots. Seignosse is a small town with quite a bit going on. For starters it has held several large surf events including the Rip Curl Pro and the Quicksilver Pro over the past 10 years and is a real hotspot for surf teams to practice and use the world class waves to fine tune their skills.

Seignosse isn’t just an out and out surf resort though, there is plenty for all the family including a world class golf course, Golf Blue Green Seignosse was designed by architect Robert Van Hagge and has been voted as best golf course in France several times.

Golfing not your cup of tea then dive into the Atlantic water Park, Seignosse Océan. With many new rides/slides including “Speed Water” and “Super Kamikaze” its easy to see the “kids” spend the day here.

Every Wednesday morning the town of Seignosse hosts a food market from 08:00am to 13:00pm. At the peak of summer there is a outside market up the place Gentille and avenue Chambrelent. The roads get quite busy with pedestrians and stalls so parking gets a bit tight. Its recommended to park out of town and walk in.

Seignosse is one of our popular destinations and we can recommend several good companies based here. If you are looking for Surf lessons or need to hire a board for the day you can find Bordingmania Surf shop on the main promenade. Patrick the owner is very helpful and a great source for local knowledge. Our recommendation for good food would be Le Surfing situated on Les Estagnots beach entrance. With a wickedly exciting menu, great vibes and an abundance of free parking its hard to beat for a few sundowners and a few more and then some food!
